NAE Contracting was awarded as one of the successful general contractors into the Sheppard AFB MACC with a contract size of $150,000,000.00 over a 5-year period. Construction projects consist of Design-Build as well as Ground-Up construction, interior remodeling, and heavy industrial work construction projects.  Seed project  (renovation of Base Instructional Theater) completed in 2025.  Additional projects recently awarded are ongoing.

In response to significant hail damage, NAE Contracting coordinated a multi-trade proposal to replace damaged roofing materials on every building in the District, as well as repair and/or replace more than a dozen rooftop HVAC units.

Road and Parking Lot Repairs and Repaving. New asphalt overlay, Striping, Seal Coat, Chipseal. 6,000 LF of new site built pipe rail fence. Design and construct of new electrical distribution system for RV sites.

Removing 60,000 LF of primary 15KV cable for DLA Base facilities. We also provided and installed (2) new 15KV feeds through existing manholes and duct bank back to where old was removed. 15KV cables were pulled through manholes with energized cabling in them, all feeders were tested and terminated to specifications. Project required coordinated outages for both demolition and installation. Worked with base on road closures as well as minimizing impact of occupied space.

Refurbishment of Mezzanine 11 in Building 004 Floor 2. Located directly off of Lockheed Martins F-35 Assembly Line. Cricitical Schedule Project or 10,000 SQ feet of office refurbishment in a 90 Day schedule. Project consisted of Selected interior demolition, New interior architectural construction and finishes, HVAC and mechanical work, electrical work, plumbing fixtures and piping, Fire protection and suppression systems. Completed project on-time to the satisafactory of the customer.

Modifications to the ventilation systems in Buildings 210,211, and 212, F-35 hydraulic fluid delivery control panels, F-16 hydraulic fluid delivery system in Building 212, Supply and Installation of new hydraulic "top up" systems in Buildings 210,211 and 212.

Designed, Constructed, and Installed equipment required to increase the capacity of the Undisrupted Power Supplies, UPS 40 and 41 at Launch Pad-B to a minimum of 600kVA each. The design for the increased UPS capacity and system installation include connectivity to KCCS for remote monitoring of these units and associated breaker status. The design was compliant to manufacturer's system requirements and also included new batteries and condition based on including battery monitoring system and all wiring, conduit, and neccessary equipment.

Upgraded the electrical and mechanical infrastructure of Building 200, home to the DISA San Antonio datacenter at 3326 General Hudnell. The existing facility featured dual 13.2kV utility feeds, 2,500kVA transformers, N+1 generator backup, redundant chillers, and 2(N+1) UPS topology. Our scope segregated mechanical loads from critical (UPS) loads by installing new critical distribution switchgear, two new UPS modules and associated switchboards, and two new utility transformers while retiring two legacy UPS units. We also added a fourth emergency generator, new generator paralleling switchgear, and upgraded controls to enable automatic closed-transition operation, significantly enhancing system redundancy, maintainability, and resilience.

Design-build project involving two separate metal building structures totaling over 20,000 square feet.  Ag Science classroom building included space for welding, metal, and wood fabrication labs as well as restrooms.  The Animal Barn provided temperature-controlled pens with automatic watering devices for over forty show animals (with inside and outside access).  The building also offered a practice show arena to train animals and prepare for competitions.

The work requirements to be performed by the contractor consists of, but are not limited to, a broad range of maintenance, repair, minor construction/alteration and renovation work on real property on Dyess Air Force Base, TX. All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract including furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, management and other services including engineering/ technical design support, items and incidentals necessary thereto. The work is required in support of the 7th Civil Engineering Squadron, Base Civil Engineering activities.

Exterior paving work to replace failing parking facilities at multiple campuses.  Project included demo of existing asphalt and concrete spaces, civil engineering, and reinstallation.  Renovated failing aluminum awnings near bus / parent pick-up lines, going to great lengths to ensure cosmetic matched existing awnings in other portions of the campus.  Coordinated with client to secure cost-effective and high-quality local subcontractors for portions of the projects. 

Relocate electrical primary overhead lines and communication lines serving base-housing subdivision to underground duct bank, large pull boxes, manholes, horizontal directional drilling to under highway to DOT specifications. Including re-feeding sport arena type lighting, marque sign, street lighting system, new sector switch, new transformer, leveling utility pad mount vacuum switch, testing, and close out asbuilts.

Excavated 10 acres and fenced 14 acre site for approximately 25, 000 SF of multiple metal buildings, slab on grade, ground-up, including the Office Building, EMI/X-ray Building, “Pipe-Threading” Shed, Bucker Shed, and Straightener Shed. Connecting owner’s equipment, prepping mounting footers and slabs for heavy industrial equipment.

Provide a new electrical substation to replace 69/4.16kV transformers 4 and 5 and associated switchgear located in Main Substation

Classified/Closed Area with Ongoing Operations/User Occupied/ Upgrade of all electrical and mechanical systems for the main computer/server room for the JSF F-35 Program. The end-users, ALIS, serves as the information infrastructure for the F-35, transmitting aircraft health and maintenance action information to the appropriate users on a globally-distributed network to technicians worldwide with capabilities to support current and future warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services. All systems are critical/fail-safe systems that must have 100% up-time. EMCS,CRAC, UPS, 480V electrical, raised flooring, RDU, EPO systems were all upgraded while in operation. Process required constant scheduling and troubleshooting with Lockheed Martin Engineers and most importantly the F-35 Program/End-users. Project was riddled with changes directed by the owner and was also completed on schedule and within budget.
